This week, I had planned to share our Finding Resilience Coaching Short with you, but before I do, I want to speak to what has been most alive in me these past few days: the quiet, sacred act of being witnessed.
I have found unexpected healing in allowing myself to be deeply held, not fixing, not rushing to feel better given how long it's been, but simply letting the sorrow be met. And marveling at people's capacity to share their own stories when permission is somehow granted if we share what is true. There is power in receiving presence. And it's left me wondering:
What happens when we aren't witnessed?
When our grief remains unspoken, unmet, unwitnessed, what then?
Grief, as I continue to learn, isn't something to overcome. It's something to be in relationship with. And witnessing is one of its most transformative medicines, especially when extended across generations.
As I've sat with these themes, I've also felt the presence of my ancestors. Those who endured. Those whose strength lives in my bones. I am reminded that they, too, long to be seen. That remembrance is its own form of resilience. We recently completed a deeply resonant Coaching Short called Finding True Resilience through Resilient Ancestors:
Finding True Resilience Through Resilient Ancestors Is a gentle, potent exploration of how strength doesn't have to be forged in fire, or born from burnout, it can be remembered. It can be traced through nature, lineage, and the unseen forces that have held us long before we knew their names.
We recently offered this journey in our Coaching Shorts programme. As we deepen into untapped areas, I am reminded that our ancestors also require their contributions to be honoured. Now, we're opening it up as a standalone course, so that you can experience the quality, depth, and ancestral connection at the heart of this work and to see whether you'd like to go deeper with us through the full Coaching Shorts programme.
