Leading Lady - Exploring Female Leadership through the Lens of Female Archetypes

An archetype refers to the deep body of human experience and unlearned behaviours that reside within us all, in what Psychiatrist Carl Jung referred to as ‘the collective unconscious’.  

The Feminine Archetypes

Here, we will explore the concept of female leadership and power through the lens of the feminine archetypes - the maiden, mother, warrioress, wise-women, queen and crone. 

Discovering Your Personal Archetypes

We will walk with the archetypes relevant to you and tune into their associated strengths and shadow aspects. We will examine how women can practically work with them to understand conscious and unconscious perceptions about their leadership styles and behaviours, and any changes they need or wish to make.

Leadership and Cultural Narratives

Through this lens we gain a clearer understanding of how our leadership styles and sense of power are deeply interwoven with our cultural narratives, identifications and expectations. 

We begin to unpack and understand how the world of story and myth can enliven us, as well as entangle and trap us.  

Integrating Archetypal Gifts

As we start to recognise and consciously integrate the gifts, wisdom and shortcomings of each archetype, and our ability to move fluidly between them, we begin to move away from gender dynamics and stylised leadership patterns.
