Special | International Women’s Day 2026: One Year of the Isumataq Collective.

Dear beautiful community,

Today is March 8th, International Women’s Day, and also the first anniversary of the Isumataq Collective.

It’s been an extraordinary ride, and truly a privilege to work with this growing, thriving community of women that comes together each month to dive deep into the rich topics that influence, support, illuminate and uncover the intersections in our lives as women. We dwell where womanhood, leadership, business, and spirituality meet and weave together, rather than feeling like separate worlds that don’t belong in the same conversation.

What the Collective has shown so clearly is that women, when held in safety and care, are truly open to exploring greater personal depths together in community: the inner work, the healing, the expansion, the collaboration and the parts of ourselves that ask for attention and care, begin to integrate when they are witnessed and welcomed.

So today, I want to wish all of our incredibly committed community members, our supporters, our well-wishers, our newsletter readers and sharers, a very happy International Women’s Day. May this day also mark a month in which we devote more time to our magnificent selves, and move consciously towards our own wholeness.

May we never take for granted what it means to be a free woman living at this time on Earth. Many of us live with freedoms, choices and sovereignty that generations of women fought hard to secure. Freedoms that millions of women and girls around the world are still denied. To remember this is not only a call to gratitude, but a call to responsibility: to use our voices, our presence and our influence consciously.

This year’s IWD theme is ‘Give To Gain’ and from inception I have always pledged that our ‘Hope Starts with Her’ campaign is integral to this work and community, uplifting less resourced women and girls, so that we give as we grow.

I also personally believe that the soulful work we do to expand, transform and broaden ourselves ripples far beyond the singularity of us. The generative energy of this work touches the wider field of consciousness.

When women do this work together, something powerful happens. It doesn’t simply give us permission to seek or inquire. It strengthens our capacity to question, to challenge, to speak, to refuse what diminishes us and to stand more fully in what we know to be true. It invites us to ask deeper questions of ourselves, of the systems we live within, and of the world we are shaping together.

Not through anger for its own sake, but through clarity, courage and conscious collaboration.

Because every woman who remembers who she is makes it easier for another woman to remember too.

And we must never forget that no matter how demanding this inner work can be, it pays dividends far beyond the visible areas of our lives. Much of the most meaningful change begins in subtle, invisible realms - within consciousness, within culture, and within the quiet ways we begin to live differently.

I’d love to share with you a link to our platform, where you can hear a few voices from the Isumataq Collective and feel into the lived experience of this community.

Enjoy. And if you feel the call, come and join us. You can drop into a Coaching Short or two, be part of our LIVE coaching clinics and soak up the wisdom from our fantastic LIVE guest practitioner sessions.

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, once again. It takes a village, and it has not always been easy to birth this platform and community, but it has been utterly worth it. I am profoundly grateful to my devoted team, Anna, (who has been at my side for a large part of this journey) and Medina, for their brilliant ongoing contributions, support and love, and to all the amazing women in my life, from my late mother Shreelakshmi (who actually passed on March 6, almost 12 years ago to the day) and to all my female family and dearest friends, who have held me, inspired me, encouraged and guided me along this path.

And to you. I would love to know how we can continue to support you to thrive, so please do keep writing in.

Onwards!

With love and gratitude,
Remi

Poison in Plain Sight: What We Normalise Despite What We Know
Hi everyone, So that’s me underneath all that protective gear, and that’s me in the group photo above too, 24 hours beforehand. I’m nestled in amongst a group of 45 engaged and inspiring leaders from different countries and multiple sectors, all gathering at the stunning Broughton Hall Sanctuary in Yorkshire. I’d been invited by my dear friend Nikki Trott to facilitate some sessions on her inau...
Intentions, goals and resolutions… you can bloody well hurry up and wait!
Hi everyone, For many years now I’ve not been one for January resolutions. Not because I lack ambition, but because I’ve spent years watching how often they fail. Announced with gusto at the beginning of the year, only to be whispered later with the quiet shame people carry when they go by unmet. It stands to reason, with the immense calls on our time and emotions, many of us cross over the fin...
Our Year in Review and Some Reflection Questions for You - Community and Becoming
Hi everyone, As we come to the close of this year, I’ve been taking a moment to reflect on the journey we’ve been on together - both as a collective and as individuals. This season naturally invites us to pause, soften and look back. You may want to take a quiet moment to ask yourself: What changed me this year in ways I didn’t expect? What did those changes, or events, teach me? When did I fe...
