The Feminine Journey: Descent, Awareness, Transformation and Emergence

Hello,

Welcome to our first newsletter!

There is an ancient rhythm to transformation - one that mirrors the cycles of nature, the changing tides and the deep wisdom held within us. The Coaching Shorts journey follows this natural cycle, guiding us through four essential stages: The Descent Inwards, Facing Discomfort and Building Awareness, Walking Your Path and Emerging into Your Power. Each phase is a necessary step toward deeper self-knowing, resilience and authentic living.

The Descent: Embracing Our Shadow

Every meaningful journey begins with a descent - a turning inward. In myths and spiritual traditions across cultures, figures like Inanna, Persephone, Oshun, Kali and even the heroine's journey remind us that before we rise, we must first face the depths of ourselves.

This stage is about courage. It asks us to look at what we've buried: old stories, inherited beliefs, wounds we've ignored. By making space for these truths, we begin the process of transformation.

Facing Discomfort and Building Awareness

Once we have entered the depths, we may meet resistance. This is the place where fear, doubt and old conditioning emerge, whispering reasons why we should turn back. But true transformation doesn't happen through avoidance. It happens through deep awareness.

I’d been invited by my dear friend Nikki Trott to facilitate some sessions on her inau...

It’s been an extraordinary ride, and truly a privilege to work with this growing, thriving community of women that comes together each month to dive deep into the rich topics that influence, support, illuminate and uncover the intersections in our lives as women. W...
Intentions, goals and resolutions… you can bloody well hurry up and wait!
Hi everyone, For many years now I’ve not been one for January resolutions. Not because I lack ambition, but because I’ve spent years watching how often they fail. Announced with gusto at the beginning of the year, only to be whispered later with the quiet shame people carry when they go by unmet. It stands to reason, with the immense calls on our time and emotions, many of us cross over the fin...
